Royal Distinction for the National University of Arts

On the occasion of celebrating 150 years of its existence, the National University of Arts in Bucharest was awarded the order Nihil Sine Deo by the Royal House of Romania.
The ceremony was held Monday, October 6, 2014 at Peles Castle, the order being awarded on behalf of His Majesty King Mihai I of Romania, by HRH Princess Margaret to the Rector of the National University of Arts, Professor Catalin Balescu Ph.D. and to the President of the University Senate, Professor Cristian Robert Velescu Ph.D. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education, Mr. Remus Pricopie, the Minister for Higher Education and Research, Mr. Nihnea Costoiu, the President of the Romanian Academy, Mr. Ionel Valentin Vlad and by other distinguished guests.
